If you have a braille display, you might want to check out this nice new game from N A Soft. I was a member of the beta team and can acclaim to this program's excellence. I encourage you to give it a try by going to
the N A Soft website and choosing the dotris link. It's a very entertaining game, and we're trying to spread the news.
Sounds like fun, but I don't have a braille display. But I think it could have been interesting just to try out.
As one who has played tetris, I'm rather curious to see how a braille display's single cell line does that. Though the braille cell can be formed into all the tetris shapes quite easily.
This sounds cool! I'll have to drop 1200 dollars on a braille display now.
Basically, the shape comes at you from the right. You can rotate it and slide it around. You see four lines, but on harder difficulty levels you'll have to shift up and down the viewing panel. You can also see the entire right side so you know what you're looking for. I find it very entertaining.
So, is this a mobile based game or does it run on Windows?
This is for windows, and all the information is on the site (see first post)
It would be cool if they made this for BrailleNote.
agreed. I wish this would be available for notetakers with braille displays. I would gladly try this, but I just sold my braille display...damn.
The software used to interface doesn't run on these, so that just wouldn't work. Has anybody used it yet? I thought braille display users were more common than this.

I would gladly try it if they made it for BrailleNote as well.
Admittedly I'd probably play it if they had it for iPhone and I used my displayy on there to play it. There's where I mainly play games nowadays.
Humanware doesn't have an easy platform for developers to program games or just about anything, so you can blame them for not having a version. But I'd think you should be able to interface your BrailleNote braille display to your computer if you have one.
I assume this works a lot better on a 32 or 40 cell display as opposed to an 18 cell?
I have an Apex which is paired with my iPhone, so if the game were made for the iPhone, that would work for me too.
Actually no. With a larger than 15-cell display, you'll see your score. Otherwise, the playing area is the same size. FOr larger displays it just doesn't use part.

For those of you who want instruction, there is a podcast, co-produced by the producer of this game and Dolphin Computer Access. It can be accessed at
